The National Medical Certification & Accreditation Board (NMCABโข) was founded on the principle of verification first. We do not allow just anyone to test โ every credentialed professional must demonstrate the right combination of education, employment, and competency before becoming Nationally Accredited & Certifiedโข.
Below are the approved eligibility pathways for all NMCAB credentials:

- Graduate from an accredited allied health or medical training program in the field of certification.
- Submit official transcripts or a diploma/certificate of completion.
- Register for and pass the NMCAB certification exam.
- Complete initial credentialing requirements, including verification of education and identity.

๐ฅ 2. Employer Pathway โ Employment + Exam
- Currently employed in a qualifying healthcare role related to the credential.
- Submit an Employer Verification Form confirming role, skills, and competency.
- Register for and pass the NMCAB certification exam.

๐ 3. Bridge Pathway โ Experienced Professionals
- Minimum of 3 years of continuous healthcare employment in the certification field.
- At least 1,500 hours of verifiable work experience documented by employer.
- Submission of an Employer Competency Verification Form confirming skills and duties.
- May qualify for accelerated testing or direct certification based on work history.
โ Best for: Experienced employees without recent formal education who need certification to remain compliant or advance their careers.
๐ 4. Exam Exemption (Experience-Based Credentialing)
- Candidates with 3+ years of verified employment and 1,500+ work hours may apply for an exam exemption.
- Requires employer-submitted documentation proving competency in all domains of practice.
- NMCAB reviews, verifies, and issues credential if all standards are met.
