In most instances, we talk about pillows whenever we are in need of the softest, fluffiest, and supportive pillows for our sleeping needs.
Any topic about the benefits of sleeping without a pillow is considered as against the conventions of wisdom by many of us. After all, why would one even think of sleeping without one?

A pillow that is just slightly thicker or thinner is enough to throw your spine out of its natural alignment and cause you the back pains that you are actually running away from.
If you are not sure about the right height of pillow, simply resting your head as close to the mattress as possible might help. While it might take some days to get used to this if you are a side sleeper, stomach and back sleepers shouldn’t have any trouble getting used to sleeping without a pillow.

A good sleep should enable you to wake up refreshed and ready to face the day. However, if you wake up with a mild headache every day and can’t seem to get the reason for it, there are chances you’re your pillow could be the cause.
This happens when the pillow raises your head uncomfortably higher thereby tilting the neck out of alignment and preventing adequate flow of oxygenated blood into the head. Sleeping without a pillow keeps your neck well aligned thereby allowing optimum blood flow to the head.

A painful neck and/or shoulder can be a real pain in the neck (no pan intended). If you use a pillow and always wake up to a sharp pain in either of these 2 regions, there’s a very high probability that you are using the wrong pillow that forces the neck and the shoulders into unnatural positions.

Recent findings show that a good sleep not only allows the body to relax and rejuvenate its muscles. But it also enables the brain to play its housekeeping role properly by getting rid of the toxins that may have accumulated during the day.
